Biography

Leslie founded the practice in 2015 and leads its glaucoma and medical retina clinics. She wrote the monitoring protocols the clinic still runs on, and reviews them every year against what the imaging is actually showing.

She writes most of the plain-language summaries patients take home. If a letter you receive from Optha sounds like it was written by a person rather than a system, it probably was.

Education & Experience

Leslie trained in ophthalmology and sub-specialised in glaucoma, with a research period spent on optic nerve imaging. Before founding Optha she spent a decade in hospital practice, latterly as a clinical lead for glaucoma services.

She teaches on a national glaucoma course and is the reason the clinic’s OCT archive goes back further than most practices of its size.
