Non-contact Thermometer

A non-contact infrared thermometer for front-of-house screening. It reads at three to five centimetres from the forehead in about a second and stores thirty-two readings, so a busy morning list can be written up afterwards rather than between patients.

The backlight changes color across three bands, which lets a receptionist take a reading without looking away from the queue. A silent mode turns the beep off entirely for the paediatric sessions.

Runs on two AAA cells, supplied, and switches itself off after thirty seconds. The measuring window wipes clean with an alcohol swab between patients.

For general screening in a clinic setting. It is not a diagnostic device, and a reading of concern should be repeated with a clinical thermometer.
